How to get people to buy a cruise vacation?
I now have a website for people to buy travel online (I’m a new travel agent). I was thinking of advertising in newspapers for a “special” price on a cruise. Do people actually buy cruises they see listed in the newspaper or should I think of something else? I wanted to offer a discount package for people in the midwest that would include airfare & the cruise (from florida to the bahamas). Any suggestions???
Advertising in the newspapers will get you nowhere. Get someone else to do the work for you. For example, get into MySpace and offer free iPod to teens that convince their parents to go on your cruise.
Keep Smilin’
someone in my town passed out flyers, colored fancy looking ones of course, and they were so appealing, not to mention the fact that we never thought cruising would be so cheap! and guess what? were taking our cruise at the end of september…….good luck!
Have you ever cruised before? If not, it is indeed hard to sell them without knowing much on them. Best way to sell people on the cruise vacation is to sell them on one of three things: A) The fact that just about everything is included in the price. This is a major point for those who wonder if they have to pay extra for the meals.
B) Exotic locations the ship stops at, and C) All the fun they can have onboard! As for any “offers”, make sure that you don’t undercut yourself too close that you either don’t make any money, or end up owing the cruise company. Good Luck!
