Do not go to Vegas alone. Speaking as a guy, & as a guy with a background in law enforcement, I can tell you that is a BAD idea. Period.

Why don’t you just wait until your friends or family can go with you? It’s not nearly as much fun to travel alone when you have no one to share all the cool stuff you can do.

My advice, both practically & personally, is to wait until you can travel with someone you’ll enjoy being with – whether it’s ON your birthday or not.

If you aren’t sure about going by yourself, you could always just go before your birthday of after to go with others.

It depends on the person really. If they are prepared to be responsible then it should be fine. Read the facts on where you’re going, the health hazards and where not to go and it should be okay so long as you keep in contact with friends and family to let them know you’re okay. Have a backup plan should anything go wrong.

But it always is more fun to go with someone.

Hawaii is definitely safer than Las Vegas. There are a lot of friendly people here. But as long as you have common sense I’m sure either are ok. And I guess it depends on what you plan to do. Going to Hawaii usually means a lot of harmless sight-seeing…Las Vegas has somewhat of a darker side.

So pretty much, Hawaii is about as safe as it gets. Las Vegas, I’m not so sure about. Good luck
