I have been scammed by Imperial Majesty Cruise Vacations/Ramada?
I have been scammed by Imperial Majesty Cruise Vacations/Ramada. It was a 5 night trip in Ramada Plaza hotel and 2 night cruise to the Bahamas and 2 free tickets to Universal Studios. Then when I received the package taxes are not included and to get the free tickets to Universal Studios I would have to tour a resort property for part of the trip. I bought this in Sept 2008 but I have not yet used it. I called them and they said it was past 3 days of receiving the package to get a refund. I called again and another representative said it was past 30 days instead to get a refund. How do I get a refund pleaseeeeeeeeee???? I live in Texas.
Write them a letter. Be very professional about it. Do not cuss them out, but say how disappointed in them you are. Say you would like an answer to your dilemma. Too bad you did not check out this company beforehand, but I do feel for you. If a letter does not bring results, then go to the better business bureau, They know this bad company very, very well. Oh, be sure in your letter writing that you give them your name and address and make a copy of any written agreements you had with them too and send that along. Good luck. Next time try Princess, Carnival. Royal Caribbean. or one of the other big cruise companies. They do not screw people.
You were not scammed; All you have to do is pay pretty much ONLY the taxes, tour the resort property, put up with the 2-hour high pressure sales, tell them you’re not interested (if you’re not), and you still get the tickets to U/S.
My husband and I are doing that in a few months for tickets in Branson, MO. He put our name in for a drawing for Branson…we knew full well what that meant…time-share tour first, tickets to shows afterwards.
Several years ago while in Branson, we saw ads all over town for cheap tickets to Silver Dollar City. I knew there was a catch but didn’t know what. Come to find out it was a time-share tour with $15 tickets to Silver Dollar City AFTER we did the tour. It was well worth it considering tickets to Silver Dollar City are about $40 each!
Basically you are getting a very expensive package vacation practically free…all you do is have to pay the taxes…so what’s the problem? Take advantage of it and just use this as a learning experience not to fall for such a deal the next time you see one.
Go have fun and don’t complain about the cheap cost.
NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE.
I did too back in Aug 2008 but just got my money back last week.
You can too, go to and follow the instructions. On March 23/09, I filed a complaint online to the State of Florida Dept of Consumer Services. After a week, I rec’d a letter from the State of Florida Dept of Consumer Services stating that they have rec’d my complaint and has forwarded this complaint to the cruiseline asking for their response to the allegations which might take 60-90 days and for me to send in copies of my credit card charge and sign an affidavit. On the same day I couriered my reply to Florida, I rec’d a credit of $498 to my CC. So infact, the dept didn’t even need my reply back, the cruiseline instantly credited my money.
Its not too late to get your money back, just follow the instructions on the above website.
